Do You Speak Energy?

Do you speak energy? Yup. We all do.

If you speak, then you speak energy. So many of the phrases we use day to day are energy-based. It’s so natural we don’t even realize it. Take for example, how people say ‘this place has a great vibe’. Or how they often make a comment ‘that something really resonates’, or ‘we’re on the same wavelength’. Then there are expressions like ‘they have an obvious connection’ and ‘he/she has a magnetic personality’. We could go on and on, right?

Where do these expressions come from?

Why do we describe someone as being ‘a really warm person’? Why do we refer to someone we’re sexually attracted to as being ‘totally hot’? Why do we react to something someone said with the comment ‘wow, that was really cold’?

Modern science is giving us a modern language for it. Quantum physics. It’s the physics of how the universe and everything in it works. Simply put, everything is matter made up of particles vibrating at a frequency relative to other matter. Everything is energy. This includes us human beings. We are all simply particles shaped into matter interacting with other particles shaped into other matter… be that our clothing, a car, another human being, air… anything and everything else.

Way back, the ancients gave us a language for it too. Take the Kybalion for instance, that speaks to the principles governing all life. Simply put, it explains how everything is constantly in motion and relative to everything else. There is the Principle of Cause and Effect, for example, that highlights how an effect cannot exist without a cause. Another is the Principle of Gender that recognizes how masculine doesn’t mean anything except in contrast to feminine. Or the Principle of Rhythm that speaks to how everything has an opposing flow — if you can rise you can fall, the only constant is change, and so on.

So perhaps why we speak in terms of energy can best be explained by the realization that, when we speak it is in fact energy speaking. Uh…energetically speaking, of course ;)
